Babu cancels media meet midway as Mudragada queers the pitch

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu on Thursday cancelled the media conference called by him in Cuddapah midway following the attempt to arrest Kapu Unity Platform leader Mudragada Padmanabham at his residence at Kirlampudi and the latter's threat to consume the contents of an insecticide bottle if he were to be arrested. Chandrababu was preparing to tell the media that his government was taking all measures for the welfare of the Kapus. He had also prepared to urge Mudragada to give up his fast. But soon his aides whispered to him about the serious situation in Kirlampudi following Mudragada's threat to consume an insecticide. He immediately went off the venue, showing visible tension. With Kirlampudi incidents taking a drastic turn, Chandrababu was forced to deal with the emergency at the administrative level.
