Mudragada goes on fast-unto-death, says no to talks with Babu Govt

Kapu supremo Mudragada Padmanabham on Thursday went on an indefinite fast, demanding the withdrawal of cases filed against the Kapu leaders as a whole and immediate release of all those who have been arrested in connection with Tuni violence on January 31. The Kapu unity platform leader undertook the fast this morning at his residence at Kirlampudi in East Godavari district. Talking to newsmen at the spot, Mudragada gave a call to the Kapu community. He did not want them to arrive in Kirlampudi to show their their solidarity with him. Instead they should take up their eating plates and ladles and create a clashing sound all over AP. That is the only way they can demonstrate the grievance of the Kapus over the government's not conceding their demands. His immediate demands were the lifting of cases filed against the Kapus as a whole in connection with Tuni violence and also freeing of all those who have been arrested so far. Mudragada made it clear to the government that there was no question of his engaging in talks with its leaders.
