Sonia implicated in a case over non-payment of bills

Congress president Sonia Gandhi has been implicated in a case regarding the construction of the Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Development Studies coming up in Thiruvananthapuram. The Kerala Pradesh Congress Committe had given the contract for building the institute to Heather constructions. The case concerns non-payment of dues by the KPCC. A complaint about the non-payment of bills was lodged by partner of the contractors in a Thiruvananthapuram police station on Wednesday. The KPCC did not pay the dues even while its party was in power. The complaint has been lodged in the name of the Congress president, Institute Chairman Ramesh Chennithala, former Chief Minister Oomen Chandy and KPCC president Sudheeran. Thiruvananthapuram has the famous KN Raj Library -- Centre for Development studies, which produced many leading economists in the country.
