Chicago varsity to study on Telangana lakes

Hyderabad, May 31: US based Chicago University is to get into an agreement with Telangana Government to conduct a study on the flagship project of Mission Kakaitya. Soon a team of Chicago varsity is to sign a memorandum of understanding with irrigation department officials. The Government has asked CADA commissioner G Malsur to go in for the agreement. Expressing pleasure at the development, Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao said that the government will provide them all support for the study. Already Michigan University of the US is conducting a similar study at two villages in Karimnagar and Adilabad districts. Acknowledging this, Harish said that the Chicago varsity will conduct an in-depth study on the lakes restoration, existing and previous lakes, revival, crops being sown, yield, MSP, living standards of the poor and farmers, help to rural agriculture and future benefits and government efforts.
