Swamy agenda next year is agriculture

Whether he is in a party or not, senior leader Dr. Subramaniam Swamy has an agenda always. Like five-year plans, he has yearly plans, one item for each year. If it is AgustaWestland this year, it is agriculture next year. Speaking in a meeting in connection with Bharatiya Kisan Abhiyan, Dr. Swamy announced that his next year's agenda item would be agriculture. This year it was Ram Mandir construction in Ayodhya. Among other things, this year another item he would be concentrating on was the National Herald case in which both Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi were involved. The case was pending in the court, he said. Next year, of course, he would be allotting the time for agriculture. Agriculture is not litigation. Agriculture is development. While he did not elaborate, would he be focusing on development side economics of agriculture? Then it would be a wonderful thing because Prime Minister Narendra Modi had promised to double farmers' income by 2020.
