Bhuma letter to CM on Nandyal land raises concerns

Bhuma Nagi Reddy, the YCP MLA, who has since joined the ruling TDP, has created a controversy once again by suggesting to Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu that the Veterinary Hospital and Office that has over 2-acre land adjacent to Nandyal bus-stand be auctioned. In a letter to the Chief Minister, Nagi Reddy said the land was precious. So it could fetch at least Rs 10 crore in an auction. The veterinary hospital could be shifted to the interior of the town. Political observers, however, say that in the highly surcharged Nadyal town, such a demand is not so innocent as it seemed. Nagi Reddy has the main political rival in Nandyal, former minister Shilpa Mohan Reddy. It is possible that Mohan Reddy, or someone close to him, might be interested in the veterinary property on the main road. While the Nandyal rivalry has been confined to the TDP, it now appears that even the government officials are concerned with the Nagi Reddy letter. It is possible that Nagi Reddy himself is interested in the land.
