Telangana Advocate JAC threatens stir, demands HC split

The Advocates Joint Action Committee of Telangana on Wednesday said it was preparing for an agitation for a split of the Andhra Pradesh-Telangana High Court. They said they had given a notice to the Chief Justice in this regard and were prepared to launch an agitation unprecedented in India history. The JAC said since it was convinced that the Centre was acting to the tunes of Union Minister Venkaiah Naidu and AP Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, they would be boycotting all Central ministers visiting Hyderabad. The JAC asked whether the BJP leader in Telangana, Dr Laxman, was able to see the discrimination in the matter of High Court. If they do not respond to the people's problems, the BJP leaders would have to face them eventually. They said Justices belonging to AP were disregarding the High Court instructions and continuing in this region. They demanded that the Centre concede the plea for a High Court split by a special ordinance, if necessary. They said the Centre was involved in a conspiracy to continue the discrimination in Telangana for another 30 years.
