Telangana govt lifts ban on transfers, promotions
Hyderabad, May 24: The Telangana government today lifted ban on public services like promotions, appointments, transfers and others with a rider. Though the order can be implied to all departments, the government has exempted the Finance department from its ambit.
In the order, the State government stated that the ban is lifted at all levels in the context of reorganization of the composite State and till the process of allocation of employees to the successor States of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh is completed. With this, it is now clear that promotions, appointments, transfers and revision of seniority can be taken up as per norms at the State level, Secretariat, HoDs, districts, zonal, multi-zonal and local level. Compassionate appointments shall be made to the eligible dependents of the deceased or medically invalidated employees in the posts of State cadre, secretariat, heads of departments and State-level offices.
