Kodela lauds Telugus role in Kenya's development
Hyderabad, May 24: With all about his tour in African countries for two days and about his observations, especially in Kenya, Andhra Pradesh Speaker Kodela Sivaprasada Rao expressed his happiness about the role of Telugu community, which was portraying prominent role in the development of Kenya. in the same essence of the success of so-called Telugu people in Kenya. The AP Speaker requested them to invest in New Andhra Pradesh and be a part of development of Andhra Pradesh under dynamic leadership of Nara Chandrababu Naidu. Dr Kodela Sivaprasadarao attended the meeting arranged by Indian High Commissioner to Kenya Suchitra Dorai, along with Telugu community of Kenya. Kodela requested her to protect the interests of Telugu people residing in Kenya. She appreciated the AP Speaker for his initiative on Swacchandra and achieving Guinness record as she is from Tamil Nadu and her colleagues are presently working in the new State. Dr Kodela met Finance minister of Govt of Kenya Henry along with Kantilal Dande, Collector of Guntur district along with Indian community in Kenya. All of them participated in Annamayya jayanthi organised by TTD at Nairobi. Dr Kodela exuded confidence that peace would prevail with blessings of Lord Venkateswara. Henry said he was fortunate to attend a Hindu cultural function and promised to extend his full support to Indian community in Kenya. He also promised to visit India, especially Sattenapalli to see the developmental works being done by the Speaker. Dr Kodela attended Srinivasa Kalyanam organised by TTD for the first-time on Africa soil in Nairobi along with High Commissioner Suchitra Dorai, TTD JEO Baskar. The event was attended by some 600 Indian families settled in Africa. Dr Kodela conveyed best wishes from CM Chandrababu Naidu and TTD Board to all Indian families for Lord Venkateshwara Kalyanotsavam organised for first time in Africa with government support. The initiatives and devotees are fortunate to see Swamyvari Kalyanam and felicitated Temple trustees and committee members Sambasivarao, Ramanarao, Naresh, Suresh Reddy, Kishore, Narendra for coordinating such event at Nairobi.
