Namrata meets minister to discuss development of Siddapur

Hyderabad, May 23: Actress and wife of Tollywood superstar Mahesh Babu, Namrata Shirodkar, on Monday called on Minister for Panchayat Raj and Rural Development Jupally Krishna Rao and discussed about the development plans of Siddapur village in Mahbubnagar district, which was adopted by Mahesh Babu. Jupally assured Namrata that the State government would provide all facilities needed for the development of the village. Mahbubnagar district Collector T K Sridevi, who was also present, said Namrata showed keen interest in health, hygiene and education sector. Namrata later said they are coming up with a plan in a few days to make Siddapur into a smart village. Recently, she had visited the village and interacted with the people, who submitted a memorandum about the issues faced by them. It may be recalled that Mahesh Babu had adopted Burripalem, his ancestral village near Tenali, under the 'Smart Village - Smart Ward' program launched by the Andhra Pradesh government. Namratha Shirodkar visited Siddapur village last month and inaugurated a medical camp. Interacting with the villagers, she said she would hold medical camps in the village once in three months and solve all problems faced by the people.
