AP to observe Re-dedication Day on June 2: CM

Andhra Pradesh will not celebrate AP formation day. On the contrary, it will protest against the split of combined AP and the injustice meted out to the State thereafter by observing June 2 as Navnirman Day. Talking to newsmen in Vijayawada, the Chief Minister said June 2 would be observed as Reconstruction Day. Having arrived in Vijayawada with simply the clothes they were wearing, the Andhras could never forget June 2. The Congress, which was then in power at the Centre and brought about the split, had done a lot of injustice to the Andhras. They should show their anger and humiliation by rededicating themselves to reconstruction of the State. Therefore, Andhra Pradesh would not have Formation Day. Only re-dedication would be there. While condemning the injustice meted out to the State, meeting whatever the situation, we are able to stand on our own. This should be reflected by observing June 2 as Re-dedication Day.
