Kejriwal cautions Centre against NEET changes

In the wake of reports of an emergency meeting by the Union Cabinet on the issue of National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET), Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Friday urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi not to give any extraordinary orders. Noting that many leaders and MPs had interests in running medical and dental colleges, Kejriwal said these institutions had been collecting whopping fees. The Chief Minister said any extraordinary orders at this stage would mean cooperating with the leaders and MPs having black money to increase their ill-gotten wealth. It is generally known that higher Medical Education is a very costly affair beyond the reach of the common people and that without specialization medical education is not a paying proposition.
