Babu meets Modi, requests help to AP

New Delhi, May 17: At a meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi here on Tuesday, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu gave a presentation on various issues related Andhra Pradesh, including drought situation in the State. The AP Chief Minister submitted a memorandum to the Prime Minister on 12 important issues. The meeting was attended by AP Finance Minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu, State Chief Secretary Tuckar and other senior officials. The 12 important issues are: Special status to the State, to fill 2014-15 revenue deficit, financial assistance for construction of Amaravati capital, release of funds for Polavaram project, help to develop Seema and north Andhra region, special development package, increase jurisdiction of FRBM, Establishment of new central institutions and increase number of constituencies. Later, the Chief Minister had a one-to-one meeting with the Prime Minister for some 20 minutes.
