YCP office in Palamur attacked

The prediction of water wars is coming true. It maybe Sage Brahmamgaru's clairvoyant prediction in 17th Century. But it is happening nearer home, close to the Veerendra Brahmam country, now. On Tuesday, the YCP office in Mahbubnagar town was attacked by ruling Telangana Rashtra Samiti activists and furniture destroyed there. Not satisfied with the destruction, the TRS activists burnt an effigy of YCP leader Jaganmohan Reddy, who was fasting in neighbouring Kurnool to protest against irrigation projects taken up by the TRS government. Already Telangana Irrigation Minister T. Harish Rao had warned against interfering with his State's projects, saying those who did so would be beaten and chased away. Jagan, who belongs to Sage Brahmam's Cuddapah district renamed after his father as YSR district, warned against similar strife and asked the leaders of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh to come together to solve the water problems between them. Time has come to take the Sage's prediction seriously and the Telugu States to come together to solve the mutual problems, as the upstream States, Karnataka and Maharashtra, have already secured their interests to the full and letting water downstream only at court's intervention. Cauvery is a case in point, wherein the Tamil Nadu rice bowl of Tanjavur and Tiruchi in the downstream are starved of water on a regular basis and water is released only at the Supreme court's intervention by Karnataka.
