'T,AP govts following despotic regime'

Hyderabad, May 16: Organization for Protection of Democratic Rights (OPDR), Telangana and Andhra Pradesh units here on Monday criticized the Telangana Government’s “undemocratic and despotic rule” and threatened to launch a nationwide movement. Speaking to mediapersons here on Monday, the OPDR leaders of the two Telugu States alleged that the KCR Government was keeping a blind eye towards the problems of municipal employees, Asha workers, manual scavengers in gram panchayats and other. They also said it was evident that the ruling party remained indifferent to Rohit Vemula’s death. They also said the TRS government even refused permission to their protests at Indira Park, Hyderabad. OPDR leaders criticized the government for stage managing false encounters. Rights of the people have been denied for a long time in Telangana and it must restore their rights. The two governments must stop the vote bank politics and future water disputes in the Telugu States. The OPDR said the governments of Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Odisha, Chattisgarh, Maharastra, Bihar, Jammu & Kashmir and some other Northern States were following the despotic regime. OPDR said it will unite all unions to fight against the saffron rule, they alleged. OPDR leaders C Bhaskar, M Srinivasulu, CH Sudhakar Rao, R Ramkumar, U Sambha Siva Rao, B Narsihma and others were present.
