Dy CM tells Jagan to fast in Delhi for SCS

Deputy Chief Minister Chinarajappa said on Saturday that while the TDP government was continuing to demand Special Category Status for AP, YCP leader Jaganmohan Reddy's fasting in Delhi over the matter would supplement the government demand. The YCP leader is to launch a fasting programme in Kurnool over several demands, including SCS for AP. At the same time, the State leaders of the BJP should hold talks with their Central leadership over the Special Status demand. However, there was no question of the TDP government going back on the demand. In any case, the YCP leader should stop criticising the government on the demand. If he took up the deeksha in Delhi, it would be beneficial. Talking to the media in West Godavari district, Chinarajappa said the TDP would not back out of the demand.
