If no SCS, then quit, CPI tells Modi, Venkaiah & Chandrababu

CPI leaders Narayana and Ramakrishna on Saturday lashed out at the BJP leaders for fooling the people of Andhra Pradesh in regard to the Special Category Status. They said if you can't provide SCS for AP, then Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Minister Venkaiah Naidu and Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu should all resign. Narayana said the BJP explanation for the denial of SCS was dubious: While the Central leaders of the ruling party were saying there was no SCS for AP, its local leaders were describing it as a Special State. What is Special State, he asked. By splitting the combined AP, they had already made it special state. What more damage you want to do, he questioned. He said the BJP was enacting a drama as to making allocations for AP. He told the BJP that the State was demanding its rights, not BJP's munificence. Ramakrishna also demanded to know what was meant by Special State. As the BJP leaders were saying they would go to the people to explain the matter to them, Ramakrishna challenged they should do so without security. Instead of talking through the media, the BJP local leaders should go into the people with their explanation. BJP president Amit Shah was most welcome to talk to the people, he added.
