BJP core panel gives lame excuses over Special Status

The BJP core committee on Friday gave a lame excuse that while chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu is pleading for keeping the promises by the Centre in his letters to Delhi, he is not asking for the implementation of the Special Category Status. As if telling the truth of the matter, the BJP committee meeting in Vijayawada said that the party-led Centre would fulfill every promise made to Andhra Pradesh. It said there was no Special Status in the Reorganization Law. How could the Centre implement what was not there in the law, the committee questioned. The committee said the TDP was a partner and so naturally there would be differences. How can one rule out differences in an alliance? it asked. While the Special Category Status might not be given, a special package would be given, they added.
