4 yr B.Sc forestry course to be launched in Telangana

Hyderabad, May 11: Telangana Government has decided to launch four year professional course of B. Sc, in forestry from 2016 academic year, BC Welfare Minister Jogu Ramanna has said. Addressing a press conference after launching an official website for FCRI at Secretariat here he said that this is first time Telangana Government launching the course with 50 seats to be taught at Forest College and Research Institute in Mulugu (affiliated to Osmania University) in Medak district. In take for bachelor will be 50, MSc will be 36 and Ph D will be 18. Application and details are available on www.fcrits.in. Ramanna said that 118 posts including 50 teaching will be filled for the college. Temporary classes will begin at Dulapally Forest College. On completion the trainees are likely to get jobs he said. The forest college will teach ICAR syllabus on the lines of those institutes in Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Kerala.
