Bihar jungle raj? Relatively better, Lalu son lashes out

The whole country is up in arms against Rocky Yadav, a Bihar MLC's son, for gunning down a youth just for the crime of overtaking his SUV on a road. They are describing Bihar as the return of jungle raj in connection with the incident, in which Rocky Yadav is being mollycoddled by the administration. Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Tejaswi Yadav, former Chief Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav's son, took cudgels on behalf of his State and asked if it were jungle raj in Bihar, what about daily road rage incidents in Delhi? In Madhya Pradesh, Vyapam killings were going on unabated following massive corruption. If it were jungle raj in Bihar, what about Vyapam killings in Madhya Pradesh, which are spilling over into other States? During the Jat agitation in Haryana, many women were raped. If it were jungle raj in Bihar, why were not the criminal assaults on women prevented in Haryana, and why was such large-scale violence allowed there in the first place? Why is not the BJP questioning those States? Tejaswi asked. The point is nobody is judging Bihar by the Rocky Yadav incident. The fact is 800 murders are believed to have taken place in Bihar since the comeback to power by Nitish Kumar. The country is questioning those killings, and describing Bihar as jungle raj. Haryana, Madhya Pradesh and Delhi too must act, if they are to avoid jungle raj appellation.
