Improper split puts AP in financial quagmire, says CM

The combined Andhra Pradesh split had steeped the remaining AP in a financial quagmire and the separation was not done properly, Chief Minister Chandrbabu Naidu bemoaned on Thursday. Touring North Coastal Andhra as part of the `Water-Tree' programme, Chandrababu said he was never bothered by the deficit budget. He was ready to face any problem and solve it and would also demonstrate development. He was speaking at a programme at Singavaram in Vizianagaram district. The Chief Minister said modernised agriculture should be made more paying. He told the officials to ensure cultivation was more profitable for farmers. They should do everything in this regard. The people should use rainwater judiciously. To exploit groundwater, he said 16,000 bore wells would be dug up in the State.
