13 killed in bus mishap in Chattisgarh

Thirteen people were killed and 53 others injured when a bus from Raipur to Gadhva turned turtle on a bridge in Balrampur district in Chattisgarh on Wednesday night. The incident occurred at Daldhova Ghat while the bus driver tried to prevent a collision with a motorcyclist. The bus fell into a small channel under the bridge. The authorities immediately started the rescue and shifted the injured to the nearby hospitals. Sixteen of the injured are stated to be in a critical condition. Chattisgarh Chief Minister Raman Singh expressed his sorrow over the incident.
