Save rainwater, Chandrababu calls on people
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu on Friday called upon the people to try and save the rainwater as underground water. The State has not had adequate rain in the past two years. So it would be fruitful to save every drop of rain.
Reviewing the Water-Tree programme at Brahmanapalli in Piduguralla in Guntur district, the Cheif Minister said all steps were being taken to face drought in the State. Repairs to tanks would be carried out. Sanjivani, the programme to raise crops in 100,000 acres, was being readied for the kharif. Although the State lacked adequade funds, AP was boldly going forward.
He said the Krishna-Godavari riverine link was established in Andhra Pradesh.
A move had been made to arrest cyber crime.
