US to return smuggled Buddha sculpture to Pakistan

Islamabad, April 27: A Buddha sculpture smuggled from Swat Valley to the US will be returned to Pakistan on Thursday. According to the estimate, the rare sculpture smuggled in 1980s is worth more than $1.1 million. A ceremony pertaining to return of the smuggled artefact will be organised in New York on Thursday, Dawn online reported. The statue was put up for sale at an art exhibition in New York.
