TRS thrives on people's support, says KCR

Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao told the party plenary in Khammam on Wednesday that for the TRS the people were the bosses. The people had given the TRS tremendous successes in the Assembly polls, byelctions and GHMC elections also. Therefore, KCR urged the party leaders not to show arrogance. `If you do, the people will beat you on the stone' like they wash clothes. As for himself, KCR said he had never felt arrogant for the TRS achieving power. He knew that many sacrifices went into the achievement of Telangana. He assured the partymen that all nominated posts would be filled by May-end. Besides, there was a chance that the number of MLAs and MLCs for Telangana would be increased. Those who had worked for the party would automatically get party tickets. He pointed out that student leaders were given unimaginable benefits. The names of Balka Suman, MP, Bonthu Ramamohan, the Mayor of Hyderabad, quickly come to mind. He again urged the party leaders not to be arrogant. KCR made several claims at the plenary. These included: The TRS is the only party that had implemented the party manifesto cent per cent. Telangana is a State which had spent Rs 35,000 crore for the welfare of the poor. Many useful works were taken up even without mentioning those in the party manifesto. The double-bedroom houses are meant for boosting the self-respect of the poor. More benefits would be given for the Backward Classes welfare. Beedi workers and students are getting the benefit of fine rice in the State. Mission Bhagiratha would be completed by 2017.
