Urdu poet denied Visa on the twelfth visit to US

Rahat Indori, famous Urdu poet, had visited the US 11 times in the past decade. But the twelfth visit proved to be difficult since he was told by the US consulate office that `if we give visa this time, you would not return to India.' This was the surmise of the US Visa Official who conducted the interview and denied him the visa. Rahat Indori, aged 66, was to go to the US to participate in a programme titled `Jashn-e-Indori' in Dallas. He had applied for a non-immigrant visa. The US consulate had directed him to come for an interview. After the interview, Indori was given back the passport. They told him that this time it was not possible to give the Visa to him. They were not sure that he would return to India. Then they gave the visa denial in writing. `I have a house here. I have a family. This is my motherland. Where would i go witholut returning here?' he bemoaned. This is the first time that he had the bitter experience. He had gone to the US several times.
