Elder VH starts a dialogue with Judge, shunted out of TS High Court

Rajya Sabha MP V. Hanumantha Rao may have thought it's all right to walk up to the podium, but it was the Telangana High Court he was in, and it was too late for him to realize the difference on Monday. He was shunted out of the court for trying to argue with the Judge and present his case on the removal of Hyderabad Central University Vice-Chancellor Podile Apparao. At Monday's hearing, the court asked counsel for Hanumantha Rao how and why outsiders had entered the university premises. The court asked the Centre, the State government and the University authorities for an answer, and issued notices to them to explain. Immediately, the Elder walked up to the Judge and face-to-face started explaining his version. The Judge was taken aback by the complainant's presentation. He immediately directed the police present to take him out of the court premises. The Judge then posted the next heaing of the case to April 28. Later, talking to newsmen, the Elder said Apparao was directly responsible for the suicide by research scholar Rohith Vemula. Continuation of the VC in the post was not proper. He urged Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao who told the State Assembly that the government would get the VC removed to get it implemented. KCR should talk to the Centre to get the VC removed, he added.
