KCR attends Sitarama Kalyanam at Bhadradri as Telugu States celebrate
The Sitaramakalyanam at the famed Bhadrachalam temple in Khammam district was performed in pomp and gaiety on Friday. Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao, Union Minister Bandaru Dattatreya and Minister from the district Tummala Nageshwar Rao witnessed the kalyanam festivities in the traditional dress.
The end of the festivities in Bhadrachalam is the beginning for the Sitaramakalyanam festivities all over the Telugu States. Every house, every village, every town and every city in the Telugu States participates in the local level celebrations.
At the district level, ministers participated in the festivities and MLAs in their assembly constitutencies took part enthusiastically in the festivities.
In Ongole, Minister Sidda Raghav Rao, in East Godavari Thota Trimuthulu, Paritala Sunita at Sriharipuram in Anantpur and in the Irrigation Department Devineni Uma took part in the celebrations.
At Ontimitta Kodandaramalayam, where Brahmotsavam began, Minister Ganta Srinivas Rao presented clothes to the ruling deity.
At Hyderabad, Kurnool and many other places, the Vishwa Hindu parishad and other groups took out rallies to mark the Sitaramakalyanam.
