Tummala angry with Bhadradri Board over Kalyanam works
Minister Tummala Nageshwar Rao, who belongs to Khammam, is unhapppy at the way the Bhadrachalam Temple Board is going ahead with the construction of the pandal and other arrangements for the annual Sri Sitaramakalyanam festivities.
Despite telling them many times, the board officials were taking it easy about the Kalyanamohotsavam celebrations. The annual kalyanam at Bhadrachalam is the cynosure of all eyes in the united Andhra Pradesh. The Telangana government is keen to popularise Bhadradri as Venkatadri of Tirumala.
Against this background, Nageshwar Rao is firm about perfect arrangements for the festival that is a couple of days away. He was particularly keen on the arrangemetns in the Mithila pandal area. He was severe on the laxity of the Executive Officer Kuraakula Jyothi despite the State government taking the festival as a prestigious matter. He told the official to concentrate on the arrangements or face consequences.
Nageshwar Rao directed the District Collector Lokesh Kumar to look into the arrangements because the Temple Board appeared to be lax.
