Earn people's goodwill, KCR tells new corporators
Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao on Monday reminded the newly elected corporators of the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation that the people would embrace you when they liked you, but would not hesitate to beat you against the rock if a leader fell out of favour. KCR told them that the corporators had a bad reputation in Hyderabad, and they should work towards changing the mind of the people in regard to the GHMC. (In Hyderabad, the municipality in general had a bad reputation. Baldia -municipality- khaya, piya chaldia). The Chief Minister was speaking as the chief guest at an orientation programme organised for the newly elected corporators. He told them not to make promises that cannot be implemented. But if you work with sincerity, you can achieve more successes in the future.
