Paruvula & Sunil quit YCP to join ruling TDP

On Ugadi Day on Friday, two YCP MLAs, Paruvula Subba Rao and Sunil Kumar, joined the ruling TDP. Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu greeted them with yellow upper cloth, the party symbol. Along with the two MLAs, as many as 25 YCP sarpanchs, 26 MPTCs (mandal level) and one ZPTC (district level) members also joined the ruling TDP. Speaking on the occasion, Chandrababu appealed to the TDP men to work for strengthening the party. They should try to make Andhra Pradesh the best State in the country, and help the country progress. While the TDP strength is growing, the YCP is depleting in equal measure. The YCP had boasted that with the help of another 21 MLAs, it would have come to power. In the event, it is in the process of losing those many MLAs to the TDP. The boast was the apparent trigger to the current happenings in the party. The YCP is not expected to make its presence felt in the State Assembly as before with the depleted strength. But then `rare leader' Jaganmohan Redy can singlehandedly give enough trouble to the treasury benches which are making it a one-sided affair in everything they do.
