Air India stewards to wear khadi

Air India's VVIP lounge in the aircraft will be served by stewards wearing khadi only. The traditional style has immediately come into operation. Air India plane flying Prime Minister Narendra Modi across the world has already implemented the khadi plan. The stewards serving Modi are in all khadi clothes. In a bid to boost the use of khadi and village products, Air india has adopted the khadi concept. Wht's more, all the cosmetic materials used in the aircraft will be purchased from Khadi Gramodyog. These include sanitizer, moisturiser, lotions and lemon grass. Air India allotted to Khadi Gramodyog Rs 1.21 crore for the purchase of cosmeics kits for the use of VVIPs on its aircraft. While the poor of India may not be able to fly Air India, at lease their products will fly in the VVIP area of the aircraft.
