Seven jawans killed in Dantewada landmine blast

Seven jawans of the Central Reserve Police Force were killed in a landmine explosion at Dantewada in Chattisgarh on Wednesday when they were on their way to Mylavaram. The vehicle in which they were traveling was reduced to a pile of debris. A deep crater was formed where the landmine was kept. The Chattisgarh police rushed to the spot with a force and were involved in combing operation. The Chattisgarh police have actively been involved in combing operations in the recent past and have been involved in encounters, surprising the Maoists. The Maoists have been waiting for an opportune moment to retaliate and got one today, when seven jawans were killed. The combined AP has relatively been peaceful except for stray Naxalite incidents.
