TS Assembly, KCR hail `Baahubali' award

The Telangana State Assembly on Tuesday passed a resolution congratulating the makers of the film, `Baahubali'. Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao hailed the national award for the SS Rajamouli film which established the primacy of the Telugu cinema. `Baahubali' won the award for the Best Film in the 63rd National Awards on Monday. `Baahubali' is an epic historical. It stars Prabhash, Rana Daggubati, Tamannah and Anuyshka Shetty in lead roles. The film was made with a budget of Rs 120 crore and released worldwide on July 10, 2015. It became the first South Indian film to gross over Rs 600 crore. It is the first non-Hindi film to gross over Rs 100 crore in Hindi. The Telugu version garnered the Best Feature Film and the Best Special Effects for the National Award. In a cameo role, Rajamouli acts as spirit seller in the film.
