Ashok takes special plane to attend brother Gajapathi's last journey

Civil Aviation Minister Ashok Gajapathi Raju was plunged in sorrow following the death of his brother, Ananda Gajapathi Rau, in Visakhapatnam on Saturday. Ashok is arriving by a special plane to be near the bereaved family at the time of distress. Uma Gajapathi Raju, divorced wife of Ananda Gajapathi Raju and former MP, had remarked that there was no love and affection among the Gajapathis. In the event, she would be surprised that Ashok took a special flight to reach his family. Bonds among brothers are always strong. These may not be perceptible to others. They show up when the time comes. Gajapathi royal family has following in not only Coastal Andhra but in Orissa as well. An entire district in Orissa is named after the Gajapathis. Ananda Gajapathi was chief trustee of the famed Simhachalam temple and 108 other temples in the State.
