Loss of 8 MLAs filled by one Vijayanna, says Jagan

Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy, YCP leader, on Wednesday lashed out at Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu for making false promises before the elections and belying them after coming to power. Speaking on the occasion of admitting to the YCP the remaining Anam brother, Vijaykumar Reddy, in Nellore, Jagan pointed out that Chandrababu had fooled all the people, the Kapus regarding their status and the farmers about loan waiver. At least now, Chandrababu should change his ways and start implementing the pormises he had made. If the party continued to buy off MLAs belonging to the opposition party, the TDP would not survive for long, he added. The YCP leader said Chandrababu was indulging in low-level politics. By inducement and other means, eight leaders elected on the YCP ticket were whisked away by the ruling TDP. The vacuum created by the eight MLAs was filled by one `Vijayanna' joining the YCP, he added. Jagan said when he started the party and looked around, there were no leaders for the 175 constituencies in the State. He and his mother, Vijayamma, looked at the horizon, there was none visible in 2014. But the elections showed the massive response to the party in that 76 MLAs and 9 MPs were elected on the party ticket.
