Oriental Bank staff demonstrate at Viceroy MD home

Even as the big shots like Vijay Mallya have got away with bank loans in thousands of crores, private bank staff have started a novel protest at the residences of big loan takers. On Tuesday, staff of Oriental Bank demonstrated at the residence of Prabhakar Reddy, managing director of the Viceroy Hotel in Hyderabad. The staff held placards, `Please Pay Our Dues'. They may also read `Please Pay Our Overdues.' The bank staff said they were holding the demonstration in order to recover bad loans. They stated that the Viceroy MD owed crores of rupees to the bank. The demonstration shows commitment of the staff to recover dues. The bank staff should go for the big fish that swallow common man's monies. The bankers pointing to brand image and so on for giving loans shows their inefficiency or corruption or both. This was stated by industrialist Ramakrishna Bajaj.
