Akhilesh tigthens grip on administration as polls near
Election blues have hit UP chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav. Faced with the assembly elections next year, Akhilesh took out his anger over the IAS officers on the implementation of Samajwadi Party's priority programmes.
Addressing the IAS officers in connection with the Service Week, Akhilesh said should his party win less votes, the officials would have to face his party's wrath.
The Chief Minister claimed that his Samajwadi Party would win the elections, but here and there it might get less vote. In that case, there was no question of sparing the IAS officials.
He claimed that his government gave freedom to the officials to work for the party's priorities. He mentioned the law and order situation, which meant they should toe the party's priorities in this regard.
He claimed that his party gave the officials more freedom than the Mayawati and Narendra Modi governments.
Akhilesh said he had dedicated the year 2016 for the welfare of farmers and youth and the IAS officers should achieve the aims.
