YCP steps up agitation over Roja
The YCP on Saturday stepped up its agitation over barring the entry for the party leader, RK Roja, in the State Assembly, both inside and outside the House.
Roja was allowed inside the assembly premises on Friday but not into the House. On Saturday, she was prevented at the main gate itself. As a result, she staged a sit-in at the gate.
Inside the House, the YCP members wore black shirts to protest against blocking the entry for Roja despite the AP High Court setting aside the House resolution suspending her from the House for 1 year.
In the House, the YCP members surrounded the Speaker podium and and went on clapping. While the Speaker, Dr Kodela Sivaprasad Rao, announced Question Hour, the protesting YCP members raised slogans also. As a result, the Speaker adjourned the House for some time.
