Roja delivers HC order to Assembly, told to come at 9 am Friday

RK Roja delivered the AP High Court order striking down her suspension from the AP Assembly for 1 year to the Assembly Secretary by Thursday evening. She was told to come to the House as usual at 9 am on Friday. As she reached the Assembly, Roja was greeted by her YCP members enthusiastically. There was tension in the air. Women marshals were stationed at the assembly gate. Earlier, Roja was told by the Judge that she could go to the assembly. This was stated in clear terms in the court order. She reminded that if the ruling party members tried to prevent her from entering the assembly, it would be regarded as contempt of court. She was accompanied by her lawyers, including Senior Supreme court lawyer Indira Jaising, when she came to the Assembly. She said her faith in the judiciary had been redoubled.
