BJP leader mentions dog menace in Vizag

The dog menace in Visakhapatnam was brought to the notice of the AP State Assembly on Thursday by Vishnukumar Raju of the BJP. He said Visakhapatnam topped in the number of dogs in all the 13 districts in AP. Vizag had some stray 100,395 dogs, which were making the lives of the people miserable. He said the government should take steps to prevent the dog menace. He pointed out that the Vizag dogs made no distinction between the electors and the elected. Once a stray dog pounced on him, but he somehow avoided its bite. If elected representatives were not spared from dog bite at least, how could one function, he wondered. The BJP leader's talk on dog menace sent the house into peals of laughter. Speaker Kodela Sivaprasad Rao, too, showed his smile.
