AP CM moved by Opposition MLC to make him Hospital Board Chairman

An opposition MLC, Ramu Surya Rao (Master), of West Godavari, has so impressed Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu that he has made the teacher the Chairman of the Advisory Board of a Government Hopsital in the district with immediate effect. The venue was a meeting organized in connection with Commonwealth Day on Monday. After all the big leaders spoke, it was the turn of the humble Master, who was elected from the Teachers Constituency on the opposition PDF ticket. What impressed the Chief Minister in the Master's speech was his advocating the opposite of the happenings in the State Assembly: `Party differences are there only till the elections. After the polls, all elected members shoud work together. Gandhiji had said so. `The split of the combined State was done under unjustified circumstances. How the Chief Minister is struggling to work under such circumstances is not known. `At the regional level, the functioning of hospitals is deplorable. `People are spending crores of rupees for marriages, on Tirupati hundi and to the Churches. If only that money were used for the health of the poor or their welfare, it would be good.' Mandali Chairman Chakrapani, however, did not agree with the Master's speech. On the other hand, the Chief Minister welcomed the speech. He said the Chairman perhaps did not realize the pain with which the speech was made. Immediately, Chandrababu announced the appointment of the Master as Chairman of the Advisory Board of the Eluru Government Hospital.
