Naxalites targeted Vijay Mallya, but killed Magunta Subbirami Reddy: CPI Narayana
Communist Party of India leader Narayana made a sensational revelation in connection with liquor king Vijay Mallya on Saturday, when he visited Nellore.
Narayana said Vijay Mallya and Magunta Subbirami Reddy, former MP, had excellent family relations. The Naxalites had targeted Vijay Mallya, but it was Subbirami Reddy who was killed by the ultras. The Naxalites could not get at Vijay Mallya, he added.
Subbirami Reddy used to supply water by tankers to parched Ongole and earned a name when he was killed by Naxalites.
Narayana further alleged that apart from the BJP, the Congress had also co-operated with the liquor baron. Vijay Mallya had been helped in his escape by the Central government. The Congress had brokered the deals between the banks and Vijay Mallya, he added.
The CPI leader deplored that black money gangs were on the rise in the country. These gangs were converting black money into gold, he added.
