YCP MLAs, except Jagan, suspended for the day

All YCP MLAs, except for YS Jaganmohan Reddy, were suspended from the State Assembly for the day on Wednesday for continuously raising slogans at the well of the House. The announcement was made by Speaker Kodela Sivaprasad. Earlier, Minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu sought to put an abrupt end to the Amaravati real estate lands debate under Section 329 of the Assembly rules. He said the debate took a wrong turn. Hence he urged the Speaker to put an end to the debate. After getting the motion passed, Yanamala requested the members to resume their seats even as they were raising slogans. The YCP members continued with their slogans. He had warned them of disciplinary action. When the YCP members did not yield, the suspension motion was passed. All the YCP members except for Jagan were suspended for the day.
