Jagan leads walkout on loan waiver, saying CM kin also got no benefit
The YCP staged a walk-out from the State Assembly on Wednesday protesting against a Minister's reply to party member, Y Visweswar Reddy's query during question hour regarding loan waiver to farmers and DWACRA women.
Saying that the party would make a walk-out, Jaganmohan Reddy, YCP leader, went on making a speech that the government had cheated the farmers and women on the loan waiver scheme.
He said the loan waiver scheme was a fraud. When the loan of Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu's brother-in-law, Kottapalli Nagarju Naidu was not waived, where was the case for the waiver for poor farmers and women, he added.
As he continued his harangue, Speaker Kodela Siva Prasad cut the connection to his mike.
`If you are staging a protest, you will have to simply say protest and walk out,' the Speaker told Jagan. He would not allow a speech.
Jagan led his partymen in the walkout stating that he was protesting against the government's attitude.
