Asaduddin Owaisi surrenders to police

All-India Majlis Ittihadul Muslimeen president Asaduddin Owaisi has surrendered to the DCP South Zone police in connection with the attack on Congress leaders, Uttam Kumar Reddy and Md. Shabbir Ali. The police immediately took Asaduddin to the Osmania Hospital for a medical examination. After that he would appear before the court at Nampally. The police have arrested six people in connection with the attack on the Congress leaders during the GHMC elections. Four have got bail in the case. Asaduddin is believed to have banged the windshield of a car during the attack on the Congress leaders. MIM workers are believed to have rained blows on Shabbir Ali, injuring him in the eye.
