TRS on winning spree in GHMC poll

The ruling TRS is poised to make it big in the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation elections poll. By 5 pm on Friday, the party was in a majority leading in 36 seats and won 10 seats. The All India Muslim Ittehadul Muslimeen stood second winning three seats and leading in eight. The Congress was declared successful in one seat. The TDP-BJP combine were leading in five places, and they are yet to open their winning account. The GHMC elections bear the TRS script. Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao had said the Mayor would be their candidate. They are poised to have their candidate in the gaddi. MLC's ex officio posts have also been approved by the Governor. The TRS Mayor, or one supported by it, appears to be certain.
