Firearms seized from Mudragada residence

Even as Kapu supremo was feigning that his community's agitation was peaceful and that the large-scale arson and violence in Tuni by the Kapu `roar' was the work of outside elements or the government itself, a police raid on Mudragada Padmanabham's house on Wednesday revelaed two fire-arms, sending the community into a tizzy. So far 76 cases have been filed against the Kapus. In connection with the filing of cases, when the police raided the house of Mudragada, two firearms were found concealed, exposing the gap between his principles and practices. The whole Kapu community has got agitated with the finding of the two firearms from their community supremo's house. Mudragada was to go on a fast-unto-death from February 5. He obviously feared arrest and warned if he were taken into custody before Friday he would underake indefinite fast the moment he was arrested.
