Nag calls KTR on live TV show, pleads against film piracy
Telugu superstar Akkineni Nagarjuna called Telangana IT Minister K. Taraka Ramarao when the latter was answering questions in a live TV show on Wednesday and pleaded with him against film piracy.
Nagarjuna told KTR that film piracy was threatening the film industry as a whole.
The Tollywood star informed KTR that several films were lined up for release this Sankranti season. It would tell upon the industry if the films were pirated and people see them without going to cinemas. The industry would stabilize if film piracy were curbed.
KTR said he was a great fan of Nag ever since he saw `Siva'. He also assured Nag that the government would take all measures to curb the film piracy menace.
Almost the entire star cast of Tollywood had been pleading against piracy. Nagarjuna reiterating the demand would surely add weight.
Nagarjuna's `Soggade Chinninayana' film is set for Sankranti release.
