Bring on Masood Azhar and get Rs.1 crore reward, says Shiv Sena

Shiv Sena's Punjab unit has put Rs.1 crore on the head of Jaishe Muhammad chief Maulana Masood Azhar in Pakistan. Maulana Masood Azhar is reported to be the mastermind behind the Pathankot airbase terror attack carried out by members of the Jaishe terrorist outfit. This is based on calls made by the six terrorists who stormed the airbase, which were monitored by Indian intelligence agencies. Jaishe Muhammad is also responsible for the attack on Indian Parliament, among other terror acts committed in India by Pakistan's home-grown terrorists. Maulana Masood was in fact arrested in Jammu and Kashmir and lodged in the Tihar jail. But the Pakistani terrorists hijacked an Indian plane on the Kathmandu-New Delhi flight and secured the release of Masood Azhar in exchange for the Indian passengers who were taken to Kabul. So it's now for the Indian government to demand Masood Azhar's extradition as a precondition for anything to do with Pakistan, let alone Foreign Secretary level talks, while India keeps the right to strike Paksitani bases and madrasas in Occupied Kashmir. It is indeed the government's job, and not for the Shiv Sena or any other party. New Delhi must get Masood Azhar without delay, for he not only perpetrated the Pathankot terror attack and many others, but he also got away from an Indian jail against international laws and conventions. New Delhi must tell Islamabad in clear terms that Masood Azhar is primary condition for any talks. Whether Pakistan would protect its home-grown terrorist in the face of world's clear opinion against it is left to Islamabad to decide on pain of war or worse. So Shiv Sena's Punjab leader Yogesh Bateesh saying `Bring on Masood Azhar' is apt in the circumstances. The party has offered Rs.1 crore to anyone who beheads Masood Azhar.
